Use of Google Analytics

This website uses functions of the web analysis service Google Analytics. Provider is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”. These are text files which are stored on your computer and which enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website will generally be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States.

  • IP Anonymization
We have activated the IP anonymization function on this website. This will cause Google to shorten your IP address within member states of the European Union or other states party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area before it is transmitted to the United States. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the United States and truncated there. Google will use this information on our behalf to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide us with other services relating to website activity and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not merged with other data from Google.
  • Demographic characteristics of Google Analytics
This website uses the function “demographic features” of Google Analytics. This allows reports to be generated that contain information about the age, gender and interests of site visitors. This data comes from interest-related advertising by Google and visitor data from third parties. This information cannot be associated with any specific individual. You can deactivate this function at any time via the ad settings in your Google Account or generally prohibit Google Analytics from collecting your data as described under “Objection to data collection”.
  • Google Privacy Policy
For more information about how Google Analytics uses user data, please read Google’s privacy policy.
  • Browser Plugin
You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however, please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) and Google from processing this data by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the link.

  • Objection to data collection
You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting your information by clicking the following link, which will set an opt-out cookie to prevent the collection of your information on future visits to this site: Disable Google Analytics.

You will find another opt-out option in our cookie explanation.

Google Analytics Remarketing

Our websites use the Google Analytics Remarketing features in conjunction with the cross-device features of Google Ads and Google DoubleClick. The provider is Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

This feature allows Google Analytics Remarketing to link advertising target groups with the cross-device features of Google Ads and Google DoubleClick. In this way, interest-based, personalized advertising messages that have been adapted to you depending on your previous usage and surfing behavior on one device (e.g. mobile phone) can also be displayed on another of your devices (e.g. tablet or PC). If you have given your consent, Google will link your web and app browser history to your Google Account for this purpose. In this way, the same personalized advertising messages can be displayed on every device on which you sign in with your Google Account. To support this feature, Google Analytics collects Google-authenticated user IDs that are temporarily linked to our Google Analytics data to define and create target audiences for cross-device advertising.

  • Google Privacy Policy
You can find more information and the privacy policy in Google’s privacy policy.
  • Basis
The data collected in your Google account is only collected on the basis of your consent, which you can give or revoke at Google (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO). In the case of data collection processes that are not merged into your Google Account (e.g. because you do not have a Google Account or have objected to the merging), the collection of data is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO. The legitimate interest results from the fact that we have an interest in the anonymous analysis of website visitors for advertising purposes.
  • Objection
Although we register legitimate interests to use and store “conversion cookies,” we offer you opt-out options. You can permanently opt out of cross-device remarketing/targeting by opting out of personalized advertising in your Google Account.

You will find another opt-out option in our cookie explanation.

Google Ads and Google Conversion Tracking

This website uses Google Ads. Ads is an online advertising program of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States (“Google”).

As part of Google Ads, we use what is known as conversion tracking. When you click on an ad placed by Google, a conversion tracking cookie is set. If the user visits certain pages on this site and the cookie has not expired, Google and we may recognize that the user clicked on the ad and was directed to that page. You can set your browser to notify you when cookies are set, to allow cookies only on a case-by-case basis, to refuse cookies in certain cases or generally, and to enable automatic cookie deletion when you close your browser. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be restricted. Each Google Ads customer receives a different cookie. The cookies cannot be tracked through the websites of ads customers. The information obtained from the conversion cookie is used to generate conversion statistics for ads customers who have opted for conversion tracking. Customers will know the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were directed to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, they will not receive any information that personally identifies them.

  • Google Privacy Policy
More information about Google Ads and Google Conversion Tracking can be found in the Google Privacy Policy.

If you do not wish to participate in tracking, you can opt-out of this use by easily deactivating the Google Conversion Tracking cookie from your Internet browser under User Preferences. You will then not be included in the conversion tracking statistics.

You will find another opt-out option in our cookie explanation.

Accordingly, we use Facebook pixels to display Facebook ads placed by us only to Facebook users who have shown an interest in our online services or who have certain features (e.g. interests in certain topics or products that are determined on the basis of the websites visited) that we transmit to Facebook (so-called “custom audiences”). Using Facebook pixels, we also want to ensure that our Facebook ads match the potential interest of users and are not annoying. Using Facebook pixels, we can further track the effectiveness of Facebook ads for statistical and market research purposes by seeing if users were referred to our website after clicking on a Facebook ad (known as “conversion”).

Social Media, Plug-ins and tools

Use of social media

We maintain online presences within social networks and platforms in order to be able to communicate with customers, interested parties and users active there and to inform them about our services. We would like to point out that user data may be processed outside the European Union. This can result in risks for users, as it could, for example, make it more difficult to enforce the rights of users. With regard to US providers that are certified under the Privacy Shield, we would like to point out that by doing so they commit themselves to comply with EU data protection standards. In addition, user data is usually processed for market research and advertising purposes. For example, user profiles can be created on the basis of user behavior and the resulting interests of users. The usage profiles can in turn be used, for example, to place advertisements inside and outside the platforms that presumably correspond to the interests of the users. For these purposes, cookies are usually stored on the user’s computer in which the user’s usage behavior and interests are stored. Furthermore, data can also be stored in the user profiles independently of the devices used by the users (especially if the users are members of the respective platforms and are logged in to them). The processing of users’ personal data is carried out on the basis of our legitimate interests in effective user information and communication with users in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 letter f. DSGVO. If the users are requested by the respective providers of the platforms to consent to the aforementioned data processing, the legal basis for the processing is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a., Art. 7 DSGVO. For a detailed description of the respective processing operations and the opt-out options, we refer to the following linked information of the providers. Also, in the case of requests for information and the assertion of user rights, we point out that these can be asserted most effectively with the providers. Only the providers have access to the data of the users and can directly take appropriate measures and give information. Should you nevertheless need help, you can contact us.
