EGCG – a catechin derived from green tea

Green tea contains many valuable ingredients, including EGCG and catechins. They belong to the group of polyphenols and give green tea its bitter taste. One of the most interesting catechins is (EGCG).

EGCG is particularly highly concentrated in the leaves of the young green tea. Many experts are enthusiastic about the profile of epigallocatechin-3-gallate as a substance that is very well tolerated by humans. More than 80 clinical studies are currently listed.

tigovit is the natural EGCG source in a capsule

tigovit consists of selected, very high-quality green tea extracts with a naturally high proportion of EGCG. tigovit was specifically developed to make the valuable ingredients of green tea such as epigallocatechin-3-gallate and other catechins bioavailable to the human body.
One capsule of tigovit contains 160 mg EGCG, which corresponds to about four cups of green tea. The recommended daily dosage of three capsules contains 480 mg, which corresponds to about 12 cups of green tea – with a very low proportion of only 2% caffeine.

To improve bioavailability, the green tea extract in tigovit has been standardized and enriched with Bioperine to 95%. Bioperine is an extract of black pepper (Piper nigrum), which provides a high proportion of the plant substance piperine.

The triple combination of green tea extract, Bioperine black pepper extract and Ester C (highly concentrated vitamin C, which stabilizes the valuable components of green tea as soon as they are absorbed) makes the formula of tigovit so valuable and unique.

From controlled organic cultivation – The green tea extract we use comes from controlled organic cultivation without pesticides.

Free from pesticides & heavy metals – Each harvest is continuously tested by independent German laboratories for 800 different pesticide and heavy metal residues.

Gentle production of the extract – The water infusion process extracts the ingredients from the leaves of the green tea plant Camellia sinensis in a particularly gentle way. The process does not leave any chemical residues and is carried out without the use of illegal solvents or chloroform in strict compliance with FDA food safety regulations.

Free of flow substances – tigovit does not contain any flow substances but only the valuable ingredients. The capsules are also of pure plant origin (HPMC capsules).

When green tea is consumed as a drink, the human body absorbs very few catechins such as EGCG.

Of e.g. 300mg EGCG in tea infusions, only a small fraction is absorbed by the human body.
This means that only by drinking green tea is hardly any EGCG available.
